Gifmoji Privacy Policy
Effective Sep. 18, 2014This privacy policy describes the type of information received and how that information is used by the Gifmoji app and its accompanying server architecture, including the Gifmoji web site.
Protecting your personal data and maintaining your trust is very important to Gifmoji. "Personal data" refers to any data that can identify you as an individual.
What Information is Collected?
Information that is collected while using Gifmoji may include your IP address, anonymous device id, network, performance and usage statistics. This data is used to help diagnose server issues, to provide statistics/usage traffic information, to stop malicious behavior, and to generally improve the functionality of Gifmoji.Should you choose to provide it, your contact information may be transmitted in support correspondence via the Gifmoji customer support web site. Your information will not be posted publically without your consent. Gifmoji uses UserVoice to aid in customer service. Please take a moment to familiarize yourself with UserVoice's privacy policy.
Usage data for the Gifmoji app (eg: UI elements that were tapped, what image was selected) is collected by default. (See "Opting Out" for instructions on how to disable collecting this data.) To further aid in improving the app's user experience, Gifmoji uses Flurry Analytics. For more information on how Flurry collects and uses personal information, you are encouraged to review Flurry's privacy policy. Gifmoji's web site uses Google Analytics in order to provide statistics/usage and traffic information. You are also encouraged to also read Google Analytics' privacy policy.
iOS Keyboard Notifications
You may receive an alert upon installing Gifmoji on your device stating that third party keyboards may collect sensitive data such as passwords, credit card numbers, etc.Gifmoji in no way accesses, collects, stores or transmits any such sensitive data. Since Gifmoji is an image-based keyboard, it's impossible for you to enter this kind of information. This, in turn, makes it impossible for Gifmoji to collect such information.
Furthermore, Gifmoji will not attempt to access your device's contacts, photos, camera, or any location data. The sole purpose of Gifmoji's "Full Access" requirement is for network access, which is limited to downloading and displaying animated GIF images and related metadata.
Sharing Information With Third Parties
None of your information will be sold to any third parties.Your information may be shared in compliance with court orders, subpoenas or regulatory obligations, or when otherwise required to do so by law. In addition, information that is collected using third party services or APIs (eg: Flurry and Google Analytics) will intrinsically be shared with those services. Communicating With You
Since Gifmoji does not collect any of your contact information, you will not receive any unsolicited communications. If this changes in the future, this privacy policy will be updated and you will have the opportunity to opt-out of any communications.
Cookies
The Gifmoji web site employs the use of "cookies" in conjunction with Google Analytics to monitor aggregate metrics such as total number of visitors and pages viewed. Change of Control
Should Gifmoji be sold or otherwise transferred in whole or part to another organization (for example, an acquisition, merger, dissolution or bankruptcy), user information may be among the items sold or transferred. If it is, you will be given 14 days to opt-out of such a transaction. Further, this will not affect your rights or Gifmoji's obligations under this privacy policy.
Updates
This privacy policy may be updated from time to time. If this privacy policy is updated, notification will be posted via various social media channels (eg: Twitter, Facebook, etc.) You are advised to periodically check the Gifmoji web site and/or various social media channels to view the most recent privacy policy.Opting Out
You may choose to opt-out of statistical data collection in the Gifmoji app by opening the "Settings" screen within the Gifmoji app and toggling "Anonymous Usage Stats" off.
